Pedal Operated Stoplight Switch

I recently installed a pedal operated stoplight switch in my '66 Ford F100.
The only thing to make sure of is that the new bracket doesn't interfere with your clutch...mine was still tightly bushed and had no clearance problems.
Check to make sure you will have no conflicts...

Once the simple piece is bent, and the hole drilled...you can simply eyeball the location under the dash on the brake support bracket. |

Securing the bracket with vice grips, drill one hole...use a large pop rivet, remove the vice grips, drill second hole.. pop rivet. |

Slip in the switch, adjust it so the pedal at rest compresses the switch by adjusting the nuts on the switch. Then pull the wires from the master cylinder back through the firewall, put on two blade type connectors, you are done! |
I traced out a simple template of the 1/16 bracket part for you to download and print.
I believe if you print it at the size it is in the file...it will be accurate to just cut out and trace. |
